The Facilitator Development Workshop (FDW) In-Person

The Facilitator Development Workshop (FDW) is an intensive 40-hour workshop held over 5 days that prepares participants to deliver the ISW to others.  Unlike the ISW which is primarily a developmental program in teaching, the FDW is designed for participants to learn and demonstrate a set of ISW facilitation competencies and values for the purposes of facilitating the ISW in the future.

The FDW involves four or five faculty participating in three roles: instructor, learner, and facilitator. Led by one or two Trainers from the Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW) Network, the core of the FDW is another Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW) with the further skill of facilitation as the primary focus. Participants must attend each day in order to receive a certificate.

Participants must have completed the Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW) in order to attend the FDW.
