Integrating Formative Assessment Strategies In-Person
Unlike a summative assessment of student learning, such as a graded exam or assignment that occurs at the end of a unit of study or course, formative assessment is an informal, on-going way to assess student learning. Formative assessment can be used to better engage students, identify gaps or areas where learners are struggling and adapt teaching practices accordingly. This session will explore how instructors can integrate formative assessment strategies throughout a course or lesson to improve student learning.
