Grading Participation In-Person

Your course syllabus specifies that participation is worth 10-15% of the students’ grades, now what?  This session will explore what participation means, the debate around grading participation, and the challenge of creating a fair and transparent assessment process. This session will explore a variety of approaches including the use of rubrics, with specific grading criteria, and strategies to actively involve students in the assessment process.
