Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Audit [in person] In-Person
This workshop will help you audit your existing syllabi, course materials, and course readings to see where you can include more diverse content, and incorporate more accessible and inclusive practices.
Bring your course materials and we will do an exercise to examine which voices are being amplified in our courses, and which ones are being sidelined. Who we cite, read, and discuss in class helps to shape what becomes the discipline, and we can have an intentional citational practice (Ahmed, 2013) to make sure we aren't reproducing racial, gendered, and other dominant hierarchies in our classrooms.
