Cognitive Development in Adult Learners In-Person
Piaget is well known for theories about cognitive development from infancy to adulthood and Vygotsky for theorizing that cognitive development is shaped by cultural and social factors. Are there perspectives on adult cognitive development that could inform how you understand your learners and shape your instructional activities? In this session, we will discuss William Perry’s Scheme of Cognitive Development and the implications for your teaching practice.
