Engaging in cultural encounters in higher education In-Person
In this session you are invited to bring a course outline and examine it as an intercultural case. This is a hands-on session where you will be encouraged to examine the hidden curriculum in your course. What assumptions does your course make about your subject discipline, your students, and their learning? What unplanned messages does your course disseminate? Are there inadvertent omissions? What are the possibilities for strengthening your course outlines so that students feel welcomed and included?
