Academic Integrity and Generative AI Hallucinations [In-Person] In-Person
For the first time since MacEwan began recording incidents in 2008, plagiarism was not the most common form of reported academic misconduct in the 2023/24 academic year. Improper use of artificial intelligence now holds that dubious title.
In this session, we will discuss MacEwan’s approach to the promotion of academic integrity and reduction of misconduct and place specific focus on these recent developments involving the omnipresence of generative AI tools. Ample time will be set aside for Q & A. Please submit any burning questions via this Goolge Form, so we can make sure to effectively address them during the session.
This event at MacEwan is part of the global observance of the International Day of Action for Academic Integrity, emphasizing the collective responsibility of promoting integrity within and beyond academic settings.
