The Boundaries of Flexibility: Accommodating Students and Accommodating Ourselves with Dr. Kalyani Thurairajah (Online) In-Person

There has been increasing attention for faculty to design courses that implement Universal Design of Learning (UDL) principles. UDL is meant to alleviate some of the barriers that inhibit student learning by building courses that can accommodate as many students as possible without sacrificing the integrity of the course. However, as we think about accommodating our students and building in more flexibility into our classrooms, we must not forget to accommodate ourselves as well. In this workshop, we will discuss strategies to increase flexibility in our classrooms and to incorporate more inclusive practices and policies while also ensuring that we are respecting our own personal and professional boundaries.

This session will be delivered online.
