Just in Time Teaching JiTT In-Person

Are you thinking of making ‘just a slight tweak’ to boost student engagement past the mid-semester energy dip? Consider strengthening your teaching effectiveness with Just-in-Time Teaching (JiTT), an instructional strategy that bridges the gap between classroom learning and real-time student needs. In this session we will discuss the principles and practices of JiTT, and practice applying JiTT to your current course plan, helping you to create a responsive and engaging learning environment. We will discuss how to use pre-class learning activities to gauge student understanding, tailor your lessons to address specific gaps, and foster active learning.
