Students who are presenting at Student Research Day 2025 on April 17 are invited to attend a preparation workshop. Each workshop will cover tips and logistics to consider when giving presentations in a conference setting. Students are welcome to bring copies of any works-in-progress, including PowerPoint presentation slides, speaking notes and digital copies of posters. Staff from the Library will be available to answer questions and give supportive feedback. Students who are preparing presentations for other conferences are welcome to attend this informative workshop. Students will be able to gain skills in evaluating and refining presentation materials, including slides, posters, and speaking notes, to improve the quality and impact of their conference presentations, and in navigating common challenges in conference presentations, such as time management, preparing for venue-specific requirements, answering audience questions, and adapting to unexpected situations.
