Cultivating Wonder and Enchantment in Ordinary Teaching Practices In-Person

New years, new cycles, new semesters, they hold the promise of possibilities, alongside the tremors of unvoiced trepidations. In the midst of lesson planning and assignment preparation and the unknowns of the new students we will meet, the spaces for pleasure in learning and sheer joy of discovery can get sidetracked by the basics for our classroom. In this session, we will consider some strategies for cultivating wonder and enchantment in our classes, as a pathway to stimulate student motivation and engagement. After this session, you will have a storehouse of examples to choose from, to help you infuse your teaching practice with vitality and enchantment.
