Dilemmas and Resolutions for Intercultural Competence In-Person

Have you been deliberating ways to manage intercultural conundrums in your classroom, especially in terms of supporting students’ development?

The Centre for Teaching and Learning continues its delivery of intercultural competence professional development to complement your goals for intercultural competence in your teaching practice. This session is one of the core sessions for Level 2 of our Intercultural Competence Program. Level 2 focuses on ways intercultural competence and pedagogy intersect. The aim of this session is to guide educators in analysis of some challenging intercultural situations in higher education. A diverse intercultural competence skillset is a strength for the range of unpredictable situations across campus life. We will discuss strategies to advance successful intercultural situations. Cultural sensitivity can help educators to be discerning in the use of relevant strategies.
