Teaching Journeys: A Program for Tenured Faculty In-Person
Define your vision. Create your path.
Teaching Journeys is a professional development program designed for tenured faculty members who are interested in exploring key questions about their career path, such as: What paths do I want to pursue after tenure? What are my goals? What legacy do I want to leave? How will I contribute to teaching excellence?
The program begins with a 2-day, in-person session on May 6 and 7, from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM. During this time, participants will explore pathways for growing their teaching expertise and building their legacy.
Using the Framework for Teaching Expertise from the Taylor Institute for Teaching and Learning, the sessions will focus on five key facets:
- Teaching and supporting learning
- Professional learning and development
- Mentorship
- Research, scholarship, and inquiry
- Educational leadership
Additionally, participants will engage in discussions on career development and will conclude the program by creating an action plan, helping them set and refine their goals.
Faculty who complete the 2-day program will also have the opportunity to participate in 1:1 coaching sessions, where they can reflect on their progress and work with an accountability partner to stay on track toward their goals.
Spaces are limited—save your spot today!
NOTE: A minimum of 4 participants is required. In the case of low enrollment, the session may be rescheduled.
