COIL - Collaborative Online International Learning In-Person

Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), sometimes referred to as Virtual Exchange, is a teaching and learning initiative that connects students and instructors across different countries through virtual collaboration. The collaboration is meant to be part of coursework. COIL enables global learning and/or cross-cultural learning experiences by integrating online interactions into courses, allowing students to engage in meaningful academic and intercultural exchanges outside of physical travel.

In this session with Nina Delling from MacEwan International we will explore the pedagogical possibilities with COIL to consider the ways that COIL can support your students’ development in cultural competence and enhance our international connections and engagement.
