Relational Pedagogy In-Person

As we wrap up this semester it is a good time to identify what has worked well for your practice. This reflective practice is two-fold 1) it helps you gather evidence of your teaching practice 2) it helps you select what you would like to continue doing for teaching excellence. It this session we will look at relational pedagogy as an approach to teaching that often goes unnamed. Relational pedagogy emphasizes the importance of relationships in teaching and learning. It focuses on the interactions between teachers, students, peers, and the broader learning environment, recognizing that meaningful relationships enhance learning outcomes, engagement, and personal growth. It is a facet of the principle of students as partners in higher education.

Have I been practicing relational pedagogy all this time? For this session, have a look at Relationship Rich Education

Come prepared to discuss your own practice and the places where you practice relational pedagogy and open to learning from others about new paths you can try to foster relational practices in your own teaching.
