Practical AI for Professors (Online) In-Person

This session combines 3 topics related to how instructors can use artificial intelligence tools to their own advantage in planning. Register once and attend all 3, or join the meeting only for the topics you choose. Feel free to come and go as you please in this online session. 

Schedule:

  • 9:00-9:50 AM
    • AI Tools – A basic introduction to some AI tools for higher education, including Copilot, Firefly, SMARTIE, AI Teaching Assistant Pro, AI Tutor Pro, and Research Rabbit 
  • 10:00-10:50
    • AI Prompts – Prompt types and methods (statements, RTRI, meta- and coaching prompts) with a demo and suggestions for how to apply them to aspects of course design
  • 11:00-11:50
    • AI Disclosures – Communicating AI use expectations to your students with disclosure statements and AI assessment and collaboration scales
