Executive Function: How to support regulation and skills gaps [in person] In-Person

Have you noticed students struggle to emotionally regulate, manage tasks, cope with conflict, and stay on top of time management? These all fall under Executive Functioning skills, and many faculty have reported that students are struggling with these skills more than in previous years.

This session will break down what Executive Function is, why we might be seeing greater struggles with these skills at the moment, and evidence-based teaching practices to support student development of these skills. We will discuss trauma-informed approaches and other techniques to support greater regulation and create a supportive learning environment.
