Students as Partners in Higher Education Information Session [Online] In-Person
Student involvement in higher education extends well beyond committee participation or representation through student governance. The “students as partners” movement recognizes that when students are not simply participants but collaborators, the impact of teaching and scholarship grows stronger, more relevant, and more alive.
In this session, we will examine the partnership practices already present in your teaching, consider additional models of co-creation,—and review key principles of equity and inclusion that support partnership work undertaken with integrity and care.
You will also be introduced to MacEwan University’s Students as Partners Program, which provides a structured pathway for developing purposeful collaborations in the upcoming winter semester. This session invites you to deepen your instructional practice, enrich your courses, and engage with students in ways that strengthen teaching and learning for all participants.
