Leading in Academia & Progressing in your Career (with Dr. Carla Lam) In-Person
This session explains the promotion process for faculty at MacEwan and presents examples of what Educational Leadership may look like at different ranks. Participants will also explore ways to align their achievements with institutional promotion criteria. Ample time will be dedicated to open Q&A, offering a space to discuss individual questions and clarify the promotion process in a supportive environment.
Dr. Carla Lam is a tenured Professional Faculty member at MacEwan, focused on faculty development and leadership development. She has a background as a tenured and promoted professor of Politics at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand, and delights in demystifying the processes of tenure and promotion in academia.
