Peer Observation of Teaching - Information Session In-Person
Are you interested in having a peer observation of your teaching conducted in the fall or are you interested in becoming a peer observer?
The Centre for Teaching and Learning continues with its delivery of the Peer Observation of Teaching Program, designed to provide instructors with formative, non-judgmental feedback. Our peer observation process is grounded in appreciative inquiry, where we acknowledge instructors’ successes and strengths while providing targeted, actionable, and research-informed support. The process is friendly, collegial, and confidential. Attend this session to learn more about the process, including what to expect and how you can request a peer observation of teaching.
You will also learn how you can train to become a peer observer. The Peer Observation of Teaching Training Session is offered in Spring. Part one of this training is a 2-day faculty development session where participants learn more about the unique features of our peer observation process, and how they can become peer observers of teaching. Part two of the training is a collaborative mentorship opportunity to apply peer observation skills. The full training is an excellent service, mentorship, and leadership opportunity for faculty interested in supporting colleagues and demonstrating commitment to advancing teaching and learning at MacEwan University.
