MacEwan's AI Competency Framework: An Overview (Online) In-Person

MacEwan's AI Competency Framework was designed to provide faculty with some guidance about the AI skills and competencies students require to navigate an AI-enabled world while also allowing faculty the flexibility to consider AI's unique impact within their own courses and disciplines. Rather than prescriptively laying out levels of achievement or specific skills or expectations, the new AI Competency Framework at MacEwan highlights domains of competence that can be broadly interpreted and addressed as appropriate: Functional, Critical, and Ethical. In this session, faculty will get an overview of each of these three domains and have an opportunity to discuss how they may be applied in their own courses.
