In Theory... Deep Dive: What is Learning? In-Person

Following on the success of the In Theory… series, this session offers participants a chance to dive deep into a query and explore how different theories have answered a key pedagogical question.

 

In the first Deep Dive we investigate the responses to the important question: What is learning?

 

Few of us have paused to define learning and yet, our understanding of this concept (or our intuitive assumptions about it) orient much of what we do as teachers. Join us as we explore different theoretical perspectives about learning and as we apply theory as a lens to articulate and validate our teaching practice. As part of the session, we will consider different belief statements that we can then tailor and incorporate into our teaching philosophy.
