Teaching Joy: Passion, Vision, and Inspiration in Teaching and Learning In-Person
Teaching Joy returns with a trickle of infusions spread out over the course of the academic year. This session is a space for you to share, celebrate, and document your teaching and learning wins as they happen. While we support our practice when things go awry etc., it is just as important to recognize what works and what makes it work well. Using a growth mindset approach to teaching and learning, you are invited to come to the session with an example of one of the following from your teaching practice:
Passion - What I’m doing
- something in my teaching practice that I’m proud of/excited/can’t stop talking about
Vision - What I’m hoping to do
- something you’ve been thinking about trying in your teaching practice
Inspiration - What I will consult
- something you’ve seen and you’re not ready to try it yet, but you think it’s a formidable teaching practice; an innovation that you’re just starting to explore
In each session we will discuss one or all of these 3 areas related to teaching and learning to infuse and spread joy in your practice. This session depends on what you bring to the discussion!
