Rethinking Assessment and Exploring Alternative Assessment Practices In-Person
Traditional assessment methods have come under scrutiny in recent times, for a range of reasons: the proliferation of digital resources, a global pandemic, the expansion of generative AI, to name a few. In this session, we will explore alternative assessment approaches that may foster deeper student engagement, creativity, authenticity, and meaningful learning. You will be encouraged to identify opportunities to rethink your assessment activities and leave with at least one alternative assessment idea to try in the coming academic year
