SUMMARY:Tea\, Talk\, and Teaching [Hybrid]
DESCRIPTION:\n\nTea\, Talk\, and Teaching\, resumes at the Center for
Teaching and Learning for fall 2025. Brew some tea (or coffee) and join us
for this collegial opportunity to discuss books that have influenced higher
education teaching and learning. Throughout our teaching lives there are
powerful readings that have had a longstanding impact on our teaching
philosophies and practices. The Courage to Teach by Parker Palmer is one
such reading that has inspired educators across higher education. Come
prepared to share your favorite passage from the work and how it has
impacted your teaching practice. Feel free to share the passages that have
confounded you. And we will hold space for listening to each other to
discuss what we’d like to take forward for our teaching practice.\n\nYou
can find it here:\n\nPalmer\, P. J. (2017). The courage to teach: Exploring
the inner landscape of a teacher's life. John Wiley & Sons\, Incorporated.
