Amplifying Student Learning through High Impact Practices In-Person
High Impact Practices (HIPs) (e.g. undergraduate research, learning communities, service learning, collaborative projects, and capstone experiences) are widely recognized for their ability to transform teaching and learning. When intentionally designed, HIPs deepen student engagement, foster critical thinking, and promote persistence, while also opening pathways for more equitable participation in higher education.
In this session we will look at selected examples of HIPs in action to consider how they can be used to amplify student learning in your specific context.
